Hi everyone. I sincerely apologize. I've been dealing with some family stuff and was not able to complete my storyboard. I'm attaching the transcript of what I have so far below for Acts 1 & 2. My goal is to continue developing the story and artwork after I'm in a better place. Thanks for all of your feedback during this process.I appreciate you.

Act 1

Major Beat: Once upon a time, there lived a powerful witch named Calliope. She was beautiful, charismatic, creative, and more importantly, a mother to a special boy named Lyric.

- Minor Beat: Calliope and Lyric live in a quaint apartment in the city. She feels safe in her happy place, surrounded by her trinkets, her pictures, and her instruments.

- Minor Beat: As Calliope rocks Lyric, he utters "Mama" for the first time. Calliope, overwhelmed from joy, cries. She begins thinking of her own mother and looks at the picture of her family sitting on the side table. The picture features Calliope surrounded by her family/coven. Within the photo, each person is smiling and holding some kind of artistic tool (an instrument, a paint brush, a microphone, etc). Calliope stands tall and proud, her hands clutching a violin. Only one person in the very back of the photo holds nothing and looks angry.

- Minor Beat: Calliope utters "Miss you guys." She looks over into the corner of the room to see the same violin she's holding in the picture.

Major Beat: Every day, Calliope and Lyric had great fun together. They'd listen to music on an old vinyl player and dance wildly around the house. Calliope told stories of her escapades as a young witch with her friends. She played her violin and performed magic for Lyric.

- Minor Beat: Lyric noticed Calliope's connection between music and magic. She has artemokineses and gets her abilities to manipulate magical energy from playing her violin.

- Minor Beat: Lyric was never good at playing any instrument, singing, or even drawing a stick figure. After some time, Calliope begins to get concerned that Lyric won't develop any magical abilities.

- Minor Beat: One day, as Calliope plays her violin, Lyric begins to see vibrant waves of energy fly out from her strings. Calliope and Lyric discover that Lyric is a rare witch with symphokineses (the ability to not only see sound but manipulate and generate energy from music as well). Unlike the other members of Calliope's coven, Lyric does not require a totem to channel his magic.

- Minor Beat: Years pass. Lyric slowly grows as a witch, learning about the different manifestations of his magic and the ways his emotions affect his powers.

Major Beat: Until one day, as Lyric is practicing, he loses control. Lyric tries to push himself before he's ready and gets distracted. He generates a force so powerful that it causes an explosion of energy, throwing Calliope and breaking her violin to pieces (something thought an impossible feat).

- Minor Beat: The destruction of her totem weakens Calliope's magic. Calliope leaves to seek out Bobby, a powerful witch and old friend who created all of the totems for her family, in order to repair her violin and regain her full powers.

- Minor Beat: The energy surge is detected by Seraphine, an evil force who was once a member of Calliope's coven.

- Minor Beat: Calliope encounters Seraphine but is too weak to fight her. Calliope is taken, leaving Lyric alone.

Act 2

Major Beat: Because of this, Lyric grows up as an orphan.

- Minor Beat: Lyric spends years moving from home to home, emotionally shutting down each time he has to pack his suitcase.

- Minor Beat: Lyric vows to never use or even think of his powers again. He blames himself for his mother's absence.

- Minor Beat: Lyric's becomes shrouded in darkness in pain. His disconnection from the world ultimately leads to the loss of his powers and his magical connection with Calliope.

- Minor Beat: Lyric's lonely disposition leads to him being bullied in his most recent foster home by everyone except a young girl named Liz, who stands up for him time after time.

- Minor Beat: Lyric is hesitant to form any kind of relationship with Liza at first, but she is persistent. Over time, Lyric begins to notice similarities between Liz and Calliope's personalities.

- Minor Beat: Lyric begins to open up and forms a friendship with Liz. The bond helps Lyric start to believe in himself again, opening a small portal for his magic to reappear.

- Minor Beat: One night as Lyric gets ready for bed, a portrait mysteriously appears by his bedside. It's the same portrait his mother had when he was a baby. He faintly recognizes it. Lyric goes to pick up the portrait, but it vanishes.

Major Beat: Because of this, Calliope is finally able to break through, using what power she has left and her connection with Lyric to appear to him in a dream.

- Minor Beat: Calliope reiterates to Lyric that their powers are fueled by their emotions - from happiness to sadness and everything in between. However, the loss of hope and self doubt blocks their abilities completely.

- Minor Beat: Calliope informs Lyric that she was taken by Seraphine. Seraphine was always jealous of Calliope's powers. She discovered a means to ultimate power but it required sacrificing her coven and combining the magical essence of each person's totem into a single one. Seraphine got rid of the other members but Calliope was able to escape. She lived in hiding, cloaked, until her violin was destroyed.

- Minor Beat: Lyric vows to find Calliope and return her home.

- Minor Beat: Calliope tells Lyric to go back to their hometown and seek out a friend who could help in his quest.

Major Beat: Because of this, Lyric along with Liz embarks on a journey back to his childhood city.

- Minor Beat: Lyric and Liz walk through his old neighborhood. They stumble upon an antique shop wherein Lyric is drawn by an unseen force.

- Minor Beat: Lyric and Liz enter the shop and encounter Bobby, the shop owner.

- Minor Beat: Bobby is the longtime friend of Calliope's who she once sought out. Bobby and Lyric talk about the dream and Bobby's connection with Calliope.

- Minor Beat: Bobby takes Lyric under his wing and trains him on how to use his magic to ultimately face Seraphine and rescue his mother.
