Very much a WIP. Transcript:

Meet Finch, a computer science student who doesn't quite fit in. They head to class, listening to music so that they don't have to interact with anyone.

Finch sits in the back corner of the lecture hall alone, but this doesn't stop the professor from singling them out. Finch stutters out an answer as their classmates turn around, giving Finch a sour look.

After class, Finch walks to the student center where another student, Dallas, forcefully bumps into them.

Finch spends their free time hacking. We see them hacking into the school's website to upload a nefarious email from the financial manager onto the front page.

While Finch is focused on their computer, one of their classmates, Jenna, walks over with a smirk on her face. Finch flinches, looking uncomfortable as Jenna grabs their headphones asking them what they are doing. When Finch struggles to give an honest answer, Jenna calls them a "weirdo" and walks away.

As Finch is walking back to their apartment, they see something odd down an alleyway. Upon closer look, the wall appears to be glitching, just like a computer screen would. There's also a barely visible command line.

Finch walks up to the glitch and touches it, receiving a slight zap in return. Then, a keyboard appears in front of them. Finch starts writing code. As they do so, we see things change around them. The brick wall turns white and the leaves fall off the trees. After looking around in awe, Finch furiously starts typing. They're changing their basic code to be more stylish, outgoing, and likable, by society's standards.

Lying down back at their apartment, Finch senses something is wrong. As they open their eyes they see that their apartment is glitching. Their desk is dissolving, books are turning into toads, and a large glitching hole takes over the wall. Little viruses start to pour out of this hole.

So, Finch retreats to the school's library where everything feels calm. They sleep curled up in an arm chair but is woken up by Dallas and Jenna.

Dallas and Jenna are uncharacteristically nice to Finch, talking about the class they have together and even inviting Finch to go to the football game with them. But as they're talking, the library book stacks start to glitch and viruses start to overtake the library.

The group escapes down the stairwell were Dallas steps on a glitch and nearly falls through. Finch is able to grab him at the last moment and pull him out of the hole. As they run out of the building, Finch tells Dallas and Jenna that they think this world is like a computer simulation, and that they think they might've loosed the virus onto the world by hacking into the system.

Dallas and Jenna convince Finch to "boost their stats" even more. To be stronger and quicker so that they can defeat the viruses. Finch reluctantly agrees, bringing them to the command line.

The group sets out to save the world but their efforts make no difference. They can't physically win against the viruses and they continue to spread. Dallas points out that the glitches and viruses seem to be concentrated on Finch, and in his frustration, he blames Finch for destroying the world.

Finch doesn't know what else to do but run. He goes to the run-down part of town and hides in an abandoned building. They barricade the door and sit in the corner while the room glitches around them. But then they sense that they're not alone. Looking up, Finch sees someone peeking in through the window. This person introduces themself as Doli, a fellow computer science major.

Doli has always envied Finch's skills as a programmer. She convinces them that the world needs Finch the hacker back. They go the command line to find it has been destroyed, the glitch has spread and consumed the entire area. Finch and Doli find another area where Finch thinks they can open a new command line but they struggle, Finch no longer has the ability to do it. Luckily, Doli is able to reach into a glitch hole and open one herself. She restores Finch back to their original programming.

Together, they devise a plan to save the world. They open up another command line on the other side of town and, between the two, create a firewall that contains the virus to the city. After doing so, they are able to code cleaners to take care of the viruses running rampant. Saving the world.

After the city is cleaned up, Finch and Doli go back to their classes, often walking and sitting together. They've started a campus club for programmers who want to help defeat other viruses released into their world. In the end, the world was saved and continues to be maintained by a couple of skilled "wierdo" hackers.
