Once upon a time, there was a strange and lonely being that dwelled in the garbage and wanted to reach the sea going through a city.
It looked like he was from another planet, or maybe a being that traveled in time, or perhaps just the spark of life within that garbage ecosystem. It was even hard to tell if it was a person, an animal, or just a thing.

The truth is that by wandering the streets and hiding so as not to miss details, it managed to see how humans express themselves and began to copy many human behaviors, mostly negative.

The mixture of its loneliness and the desire to be accepted led it to live from plan to plan with the sole objective of achieving it, regardless of the consequences.

Every day, It creates plans to absorb the sea. Since it believes that is the only way to get powerful and huge, thus, finally stopping hiding.

Since the beginning of its existence, it has believed that the only way people would like them, it's by being a giant. Achieving a proportion that allows the being to look impressive in front of others. .

One of them was to make hypnotic objects irresistible to humans in such a way that everyone wanted to acquire them, only to later realize that they were not needed and that they would inevitably end up in the trash. The plan failed because some decided to repair what they bought as many times as necessary with the idea of never throwing it away.

On another occasion, he decided to pollute the air because he was going to kill every living being on his path. Still, the plan was not completed because groups of people chose to use electric cars and many others planted trees everywhere.

He went from plan to plan with a: "I'm very close to achieving it" but never reaching it.

Another thing he did during his walks was to follow the traces of the garbage around the city. These routes usually took him to the ocean. Where they will stay for hours contemplating not only its greatness but also the floating debris.

Until one day, while it's staring at the sea, it sees a teenager called Tony by his father on the shore. They are making sand castles with interesting aqueduct systems. Then, it decided that was the right moment to create the ultimate plan to finally become the biggest and most powerful, and chose the boy as its ally.

Because of that, taking advantage of its shapeshifting properties to approach Tony, it changes its appearance to look like a humanoid and goes by the name of Jou Jou.

Jou Jou sees that Tony's dad got distracted by an acquaintance on the beach and comes closer to them.

Tony, who is wholly concentrated on building a system to get water from the castle's water pump to the top to create artificial waterfalls, doesn't notice Jou Jou until it's already over him, casting a shadow over him and his work.

At first, Tony gets startled by Jou Jou, but he looks at it and sees it as a girl of his same age, then says hi. Tony notices in her hair some pieces of mechanical parts that he reckons can be used for his project and proceeds to ask her for them.

She doesn't speak immediately but mimics how he behaves and gives him the pieces he needs. They are now both happy because they see how the system works correctly. JouJou learns he likes inventing stuff because his dad is an engineer.

Tony Tries to connect with Jou Jou and get her to talk, only to finally get an answer when he asks her name. Jou Jou tries to think about that and then remembers being in the dumpster and some thugs saying to each other, "yo yo, my man! What up?" And in her best human speech, Jou Jou says "Jou Jou" which Tony interprets as her name.

Tony explains to her that not many kids like to be around him as he has special interests that nobody else gets, and he gets bored sometimes but doesn't mind being alone. He shows Jou Jou some of the projects involving water, and he gets her complete attention.

Because of that, not only do they become good friends, but also Jou Jou has the chance to share its plans to absorb the sea to get bigger in the limited words she has. Tony thinks the idea is so much fun and imagines the reaction from other kids when seeing it become a giant, so he decides to help it.

Tony's dad tell him they should be going back home as it's getting late. Jou Jou says to Tony "sea tomorrow!" Which Tony interprets as them meeting tomorrow again and Jou Jou talking about absorbing the sea tomorrow.

The next day Jou Jou is alone looking at the sea with much interest waiting for Tony to appear when is interrupted by a girl who likes her hair made of electronic cables. Jou Jou first is a bit scared by the girl but quickly grows closer with her.

The girl shows her how to bride her hair and right away they both are interrupted by Tony who made it to the beach, Tony takes Jou Jou and they both leave the girl.

While they're making plans in the beach to move water into a plastic bag they see a bunch of animals, fish, crabs, dogs, even seagulls. Jou Jou notices a turtle struck on some plastic wrap and sees Tony panicking about it and the turtle struggling. She simply eats the wrap and the turtle is free, right away she spits out the same wrapped but braided like the girl showed her earlier and puts it on Tony as a bracelet. They learn that Jou Jou can transform the trash she eat into other things that if she wishes.

They continue working on a way to move the whole sea into Jou Jou and come up with the idea of filling it with solid objects so much that it starts overflowing towards JouJou's mouth. Jou Jou grabs with her trash powers all the solid trash around and makes a super big ball that floats over the ocean just to let it drop.

Because of that, all the water is pushed as a big wave and Jou Jou makes her mouth so big it starts to absorb it all but while Jou Jou is absorbing the sea, all living creatures living there start to die. In the spur of the moment, Tony is also absorbed.

Everything continue to be absorbed, the more water and things get into Jou Jou the more is able to absorb until she has swalllowed boats, trash, animals and people.

Jou Jou is not really noticing anything it's just happy and excited to becoming so big until all the water has been absorbed and she sits alone in the middle.

Satisfaction makes joujou fall asleep and suddenly she has a dream about the things she learned that day, the girl, the animals and the time she spent playing with Tony. She remembers Tony's voice and opens her eyes.

She sees around and sees there's no one around there, not only that there are some animals suffering as before. People start to gather around and call her a monster and tell her to leave and that they don't want to see her again.

She sees Tony's dad the girl and the turtle from earlier in the crowd.

Finally, when it sees itself being huge, it realizes that Tony is no longer there either, JJ gets scared and starts to grieve its loss and regrets since now it knows that being big and powerful was not what it really wanted; It found out that what it really wanted was to share with someone. So JJ decides to reverse the plan, it pukes everything, and luckily, it sees that Tony and some sea creatures are still alive.

The sea gets back to its original shape, all people and animals get back safely. JouJou sees Tony unconscious among the others in the water and decides to eat some trash floating to build a canoe that can take them both to the shore.

They meet at the coast with Tony's dad, the girl and the turtle from earlier. Tony recovers and he hugs his dad.

Jou Jou apologizes to everyone crying out loud, Tony tells her it's ok, and that he has an idea to how to make things right.

And ever since then, they have stuck together. They wander by the sea and pick up waste reaching it, and with a big group of kids, they reuse what they find to build, houses, boats, pieces of art and the most incredible amusement park.
