There once lived a little cinnamon roll in the land of sweets named Cinna. Despite the land of sweets being well, rather sweet, Cinna’s personality was anything but sweet. The little Cinnamon roll was a grumpy little pastry - not enjoying the weekly parties that the land of sweets have. Cinna thought it was a silly custom, wondering if there was so much to celebrate. It meant that each week, as the resident chocolate miner, she was responsible for providing chocolate bricks as material to repair the streets after each party.
One day the land of sweets was holding another party , but they realized they ran out of chocolate bricks. However, Cinna has other plans. She refused to help get the bricks saying that she was tired of these weekly labors. She was tired of travelling to the mines by herself each week to get replacements each time.
However, Kiki overheard and volunteered to help Cinna get some chocolate bricks from the chocolate mine. With the two of them there, Cinna wouldnt have to bear the burden of mining the chocolates and carrying the heavy load back to the main square alone.
Cinna was extremely unhappy with the arrangement but Kiki would not leave her alone. So after much pestering, Kiki and Cinna headed to the chocolate mines. Grumpy as ever, Cinna took her anger out on the chocolate mines, sending little debris of chocolate flying around the mines. Kiki tried making small talk but Cinna was in such a bad mood, she ignored the friendly cupcake. Suddenly, Kiki noticed that the area Cinna was mining in was looking rather precarious and warned her not to hit too hard. Incensed that she was being told how to do her job, the spiteful Cinnamon roll swung her axe really hard and the mine started caving in. The two pastries ran towards the exit but the exit was blocked off by chocolate debris.
Kiki started to cry , she just wanted to help out so that everything would run smoothly for the party. Cinna couldn’t understand why this meant so much to the sad cupcake. The cupcake said that every week was not just a celebration but a moment for each pastry to recover from whatever struggles they had faced in the course of the week. Everyone in the land of sweets experiences hard times but the weekly celebration was simply a coping mechanism for them. Especially for Kiki who has been going through a really hard time recently - it was one of the things that helped her kept going throughout the hard week. When she saw Cinna who was unhappy, Kiki knew that Cinna just needed a little pick up and help to enjoy the parties since she was always working hard during the parties.
Cinna felt bad, because even if she didn’t enjoy the parties Kiki did. And Kiki deserved to be having a great time in the party and not stuck in the chocolate mines with her. So Cinna picked up her axe, and started clearing away the debris at the exit. This time, she was careful and made sure she was adjusting her strength so that she would be clearing and not creating more blockage.
After chipping away with Kiki helping her, Cinna was able to break the chocolate blockage and free them. As Cinna panted and rested, Kiki quickly gathered the chocolate rubble. They had more than enough materials to repair the streets for the next festival. The two pastries worked together to carry the chocolate rubble down towards the main square. The other pastries were excited to get the materials and begun constructing in order to prepare for the next week’s festival. Tired Cinna started to walk away but Kiki held her back to thank her. Without her working hard to get them out of the mine, they would still be stuck there. Cinna apologized for being a grump and said even though she still doesn’t appreciate the festivals, she at least was pleased to have been able to help out and contribute.
