Once upon a time, there was a town where all vegetables lived. In it was an Onion who wanted to be a comedian, but like all of his kind, he was plagued with an overwhelming mouth odour that made everyone cry whenever he opened his mouth to speak
Everyday, he would go out with his family to sing at funerals, but would sink off-pitch, dance when he should be sombre, or do some other thing that called attention to himself.

Until one day, when he saw the Carrot’s performing a comedy routine, and all the veggies in the barn gathered around to laugh. Karot had a real squeaky voice and was very good at telling jokes. Lulu was enthralled. This is what he’d always wanted to be.
Because of that,
Because of that, he would steal away from home to watch Karot tell his jokes. And would practice with the oranges as a willing audience.
Because of this he really got so good that one day, Momo the orange snuck after him on his nightly adventures to see karot perform
And when Karot was done, she pushed him out onto the little pile of grass so he could tell his jokes…
And he was a hit!!!
Because of this he became a lot more confident
He made someone laugh at the funeral who tumbled upon the veggie being buried and caused a scene
Because of that he seized the opportunity to actually tell a couple of jokes which got everyone in stitches until they were embarrassed that they were laughing at their uncle’s funeral.
Until finally, he was no longer welcome to sing at the funerals, and the other onions no longer wanted to have anything to do with him.
