Although she did not like communicating with people September had the ability to make friends easily in every circle she entered. However, she would prefer and like spending time on her own. Though this was not possible since she had a housemate, she would prefer spending time in her room. Besides, she was able to play cello very well. Every time she was alone, she would take her cello and express the emotions that she could not put into words. She worked for entering in one of the 2 best music schools for years.
September was well aware that life was full of choices. She would continuously think “if only she knew the results of her choices in advance”. And then, things stated to get into motion…
September learned that she qualified for both schools. There, she had to make the important choice. She decided to calm herself by playing cello. She took the cello and though about the first school and then the other. When she came into her senses, she saw that her housemate Lily had entered in her room and that Lily was looking at her with fascination. Stunned as she was, she asked what happened. Lily said that the song September played was one of the best ones she had ever heard and that it had evoked very different emotions in her. September asked “which song” with confusion. She did not now that she had played a song, she was only absorbed in contemplation. Lily told her that the song started as cheerful and made her happy but after that it turned into one of the saddest songs of the world. September was blown away by this because she had played something while she though that she was contemplating only these two schools. She though that she put herself under a lot of stress and she tried to let it slide. At the next week she learned that her mother was hospitalized and she ran towards the hospital. She had only herself and her mother as a family. The doctor said that her mother was unconscious and it was risky to perform surgery on her and that the decision should be taken by September. She had 3 hours to think about it. September, who did not know what to do, she rushed over to her home to pick her stuff in order to accompany her mother at the hospital. While doing so she was also trying to decide what to do. And then she started thinking that trying the surgery was the correct option and when she gather herself together, she saw that Lily was looking at her with confusion. Lily asked September why did she play such a cheerful music while her mother was hospitalized. Once again, September looked at her friend with confusion. She could not remember playing cello at all. Suddenly something, which she though impossible, woke in her mind. Maybe??? Maybe the music she played without noticing while making important decisions was guiding her? She though that maybe she made it all up since she was very upset for her mother. But this gave her courage. She ran towards the hospital and wanted the surgery to be performed immediately. After hours, she learned that the surgery was very successful and that her mother was saved. She was very happy and her belief that her cello was guiding her increased.
Days have passed and September concentrated on these thoughts at the times she had to make a decision by installing a camera in her room. Then she saw the music she played without noticing when she got lost in these thoughts. At the very end she realized that the music she played was guiding her for understanding whether the results of her choice would be good or bad.
However, she realized that this situation made her even more lonely and it started make her upset. She could not feel happy about the things she was doing and the decision she made and she was feeling sad.
And since that moment, she decreased using her cello as a guide for her decisions. She started taking her decisions on her own by making more friends and meeting them, communicating with them and receiving their guidance and support. Sometimes she felt that foreseeing the results made her feel as if her life was managed by someone else.
