Took forever to get this done, didn't really like leaving it in an unfinished state.
ACT 1
Panel 1 - In this world, humans and monsters coexist together, completing tasks and taking care of jobs. Monsters acting like protectors of human beings.
Panel 2 - These monsters represent our inner selves, a mirror image that can be a visual representation of who we truly are on the inside.
Panel 3 - When a human child is born, the monster begins to manifest, taking a physical form that may match the traits of the persona deep within the human. That monster’s physical characteristics may reflect how that individual truly is.
Panel 4 - The monsters of this world are essentially the shadows of the human characters. Constantly in the same area as us. Reflections of who we are as people, personality wise, and what we truly are when we remove the mask.
Panel 5: Our monsters will always reflect that part we keep hidden from the world. The part of us that we keep inside trying to hide it away.
Panel 6: But also in this world exist creatures, called Shades. They seem to portray the worst of humans in horrible ways, committing acts of violence on both monsters and humans in any way possible. These Shades seem like they desire something from both monsters and humans but nobody knows for sure.
Panel 7: So some humans decided to create a job known as Slayers, that would fight against Shades. Together with their monsters they slay Shades that attack humans.
Panel 8: One day, in one of the human cities. A human started to transform into a Shade, what was the cause? A virus? a sickness slowly spreading? It sent people into a panic.

Scene 3 - “Why is this on the body of a shade?” asks the protag, confronting the lone soldier who had no monster companion with him while he was out of a colony.
Scene 4 - the soldier then starts to explain, saying that while he was traveling with two of his friends, the three of them hated looking at their monsters, it was a constant reminder of the ugliness that was hidden within their hearts, but for the world to now see due to their monsters taking a physical form.
Scene 5 - so the three of them decided to abandon their monsters, leaving them behind. Thinking that they would be better off without them, without the constant reminder of their imperfections being shown to the world.
Scene 6 - Days later, two of them started changing, transforming, becoming monsters. The hunter noticed this was happening due to them leaving their monsters behind. The darkness in their hearts, were now in full view due to their transformations, becoming shades, shadows of their former selves.
Scene 7 - the two transformed hunters now charge towards him, leaving him with no option to defend himself!

Our hero, seeing no choice, picks up his sword and rushes towards the transformed warrior, plunging his weapon into the back of the now monstrous warrior. A moment of pause, as if the world almost froze for a second. The warrior’s humanity seems to come back, as tears slowly fall down his face. Our hero starts to shed some tears as well. Stumbling forward, the transformed warrior then turns his head towards our hero. “We can’t hide who we are, the inside part of ourselves that we try to hide will come out sooner or later.”
We cut to a grave of the fallen warrior, a reminder that we shouldn’t be afraid our own inner self, for hiding it away, sooner or later it will come out and we may try to hide it but we have no choice but to accept it, because its part of us.
