It seems like we are learning the storytelling structure for feature length films, but our projects revolve around animated shorts. Is there a big difference in the approach taken for each one? For example, do all shorts have to have a 3-act structure, and does the character have to learn and grow at the end? I feel like shorts are fundamentally different than full-length films, so I struggle a bit in applying the same rules to each. (Perhaps this is something we will learn later in the course?)
