Once Upon a Time, A mountain spirit Giri, one with the mountainland, stands tall and proud, but is afraid of passing on to the next segment of life. Giri flys over the mountainside, showing its diverse landscapes and the other creatures that live there. Meanwhile, Ceto is swimming through the deep ocean, only dark forms and brief shots of Ceto in their previous form. Every day, Giri firmly keeps watch over their domain, cold and distant to the other landforms. Girl has a negative interaction with a rain spirit, showcasing their cold indifference. Giri is shown moving through the mountains in the rain, looking unhappily at the landscape around them. But one day, A small ocean bubbles up from under the earth, Ceto, the ocean spirit, trying to expand and move on as fast as they can. Ceto emerges as Giri is surveying the domain, Ceto panicked looking around while Giri stares intently at Ceto with a sad look. Giri decides to stay away from Ceto, and we see Giri receding into a cave in the mountain. Because of that, The mountain spirit, Giri, and the ocean spirit, Ceto, interact with each other, although they do not get along at first. As conflict builds, so do rainstorm clouds above. Giri ignores Ceto at first, as Ceto tries to get their attention. As Ceto explores Giri’s area and Giri ignores them, storm clouds build above. Ceto continues to expand their area, and Giri forces up rocks out of the mountain to keep Ceto out, leaving Ceto feeling left out. Because of that, the two spirits have a confrontation with each other. The tension is at it’s peak, as they are reluctant to communicate their ideas to each other, and the storm clouds rain down on both of them. The two spirits decide to calm down and the tension starts to dissipate, and they finally start to communicate their ideas and why they are acting the way they are acting. The storm clouds slowly begin to fade away. Because of that, the ocean spirit learns to accept themselves, their new change, and live on the overworld, and the mountain spirit learns that it is okay to rebirth and renew yourself. The brewing storm dissolves. The mountain spirit fades into the earth, as the sea spirit expands into their final form; an ocean. Giri sinks into the ocean, we see her evaporate, and she smiles. Ceto expands into their new form, as the sun sets over the new ocean.
